Western Goldfinch Ornament
The Story BehindBirds are symbols of happiness and joy, so they are regarded as a necessity on the Christmas tree. Glassblowers often kept wild birds during the winter months since the sound of the gas flame in the workshop prompted the birds to sing. Then when spring arrived, the birds returned to freedom.
Each glass ornament is mouth-blown into finely carved molds
A solution of hot liquid silver is added for exceptional color and vibrance
Ornaments are then hand-painted and hand-glittered for a fine finish
Beautiful Bird Ornaments
These ornaments met all my expectations for traditional glass ornaments. We got four or five different birds and love them. We bought only birds we see here in California. The charming boxes each one came in made perfect little gift boxes on their own. We gave the birds as gifts and then everyone hung them on the tree!
Old World Christmas
Hi Elisabeth- Giving native California bird ornaments as gifts to friends for their trees sounds like a charming idea. This Western Goldfinch is especially delightful.
