Notice to California Residents: California Privacy Notice

This California Privacy Notice is Updated and Effective as of May 2, 2022

This notice supplements Old World Christmas privacy policy and applies only to California residents. This California Privacy Notice sets forth the expanded disclosures and rights for California Consumers regarding their Personal Information, as required by the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”). Terms (including defined capitalized terms) used in this California Privacy Notice have the same meanings given in the CCPA and the regulations of the Attorney General implementing the CCPA, unless otherwise defined.

Personal Information We Collect:

  • The Personal Information we collect about you will depend upon how you use Old World Christmas properties. Accordingly, we may not collect all of the below information about you.

  • We may collect additional categories of personal information or use it for different purposes, and will do so after providing you notice and obtaining your consent to the extent such notice and consent is required by the CCPA.

  • Personal Identifiers (such as name, mailing address, IP address, email address or account name)

  • Inferences drawn from other personal information (such as preferences, characteristics, predispositions and behaviors)

We may collect this type of information from:

  • Consumers;

  • Cookies and tracking technologies;

  • Third party social media companies;

  • Third party business partners, such as data analytics providers, data brokers, advertising networks, or joint marketing partners. ;

We may use this type of information for:

  • Providing our services to you and allowing you to participate in the features Old World Christmas offers;

  • Recognizing you across devices so as to improve your experience with us;

  • Identifying your preferences and tailor our content and recommendations for you;

  • Investigating and preventing fraud, illegal activities, and activities that violate our policies, and resolving technical issues reported;

  • Improving our services and marketing endeavors;

Categories of Third Parties to Whom this Type of Information is Sold:

  • Third party advertising, analytics, and similar third parties may have access to this data through cookies and similar technologies, and this may be considered a sale under CCPA under certain circumstances.

Right to Know

In accordance with the CCPA, California Consumers have the right to know what information we have collected about you.

If you are a California Consumer and would like to request information about the Personal Information we have collected about you in the prior 12 months, please complete this form or email thesource@oldworldchristmas.com to proceed with this request.

In order to have us provide specific pieces of information, we will require a signed declaration under penalty of perjury that you are the consumer whose Personal Information is the subject of the request.

Right to Delete

In accordance with the CCPA, California Consumers have the right to request that we delete the information we have collected from you.

If you are a California Consumer and would like us to delete Personal Information we have collected from you, please complete this form or email thesource@oldworldchristmas.com to proceed with this request.

To ensure that we do not delete your personal information in response to a fraudulent request, once you submit the request, we may follow up to confirm that you want your information to be deleted.

Verifying ‘Right to Know’ and ‘Right to Delete’ Requests

Please note that we will take steps to verify your identity in order to fulfill your request. We will first verify your email address is active and we will take steps to verify the information you provide to us.

In order to verify your identity, we will request that you provide: your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.

If we are unable to verify that the individual submitting the request is the same individual about whom we have collected information (or someone authorized by that individual to act on their behalf), we will not be able to process the request.

Do Not Sell

The CCPA also provides California Consumers a right to request to opt-out of the sale of Personal Information. Old World Christmas does engage in online advertising practices (and certain analytics or similar activities), such as to provide you relevant marketing messages, which may potentially be considered “sales” under the CCPA under certain circumstances.

To help you manage the tracking of your information, including browsing history and targeted marketing efforts, you can take action by opting out of cookies and device ID tracking. To opt-out of cookies set by 3rd parties that may be considered "sales" under the CCPA, email jmurphy@oldworldchristmas.com.

Do Not Track

Please note that because there is no consistent industry understanding of how to respond to “Do Not Track” signals, we do not alter our data collection and usage practices when we detect such a signal from your browser.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
