And the Winner Is…

There’s something magical about seeing a great ornament idea go from imagination to reality and even more special when it’s chosen by you! The Old World Christmas Next Great Ornament Contest celebrates that creativity and holiday spirit.

2026 — And the Winner Is: “Penny”

Our 2026 Ornament Contest was packed with standout designs, but one entry truly rose to the top. Penny, inspired by the beloved coin now retired from circulation, captured hearts with its sense of nostalgia and holiday charm. This thoughtful idea celebrates a small but meaningful piece of history that so many of us grew up with. From the moment we saw it, we knew it deserved a place on Christmas trees everywhere. The Penny will be available for all to enjoy this upcoming season.

2025 — “Gold Fish in a Bag”

Our 2025 winner brought a splash of fun to the ornament world with Gold Fish in a Bag. This delightful design reminded us all of the simple joys and unexpected wonders of the season. It’s whimsical, joyful, and instantly became a favorite on many trees.

2024 — “Christmas Tree Farm”

The 2024 contest winner was all about tradition and togetherness. Christmas Tree Farm lovingly captured the iconic holiday tradition of searching for and choosing the perfect tree; complete with laughter, chilly breezes, and bundled-up memories that last a lifetime.

2023 — “Santa’s Dog Sled”

Going back to our first contest, the 2023 winning design, Santa’s Dog Sled kicked things off with flair! This original ornament brought a fresh twist to classic holiday imagery with a playful take on Santa’s seasonal travels.

What Makes This Contest So Special

Each ornament winner represents more than just a clever idea, they tell a story, spark a memory, or bring a smile with their fun and festive design. This tradition helps us bring new joy to holiday decorating while shining a spotlight on creativity and community spirit.
