The Story Behind
Blueberries are one of the few fruits native to North America, making blueberry pie a truly American dessert. To show off the colorful filling, the pie is often made with a lattice crust. The crust looks like basket weaving with its fancy, sugar frosted crisscrosses.

Years ago I started a tree of only glass mouth blown food ornaments. Old world Christmas has been a major contributor to this tree. Each year I gather beautiful new ornaments and this year blueberry pie was added to both the pies and the blueberry section. The tree gets rave reviews as does each beautifully crafted ornament. ‘Where do you get food ornaments” I’m always asked..........Old World Christmas which has a huge selection and new ones each year!
