MSRP: $17.99

The Story Behind

In 1818, a young Austrian priest was trying to devise a way to include music for the Christmas Eve service that night since the church organ was broken. So he wrote a poem and took it to the organist, who composed a melody. That evening the song "Silent Night" was sung to the simple accompaniment of a guitar.

Measurements: 4.75 X 1.5 X 0.75 (HxLxW)

Each glass ornament is mouth-blown into finely carved molds

A solution of hot liquid silver is added for exceptional color and vibrance

Ornaments are then hand-painted and hand-glittered for a fine finish

The history of the nutcracker is a beautiful story of human creativity from function to creativity. Today, the traditional Christmas nutcracker isn’t designed to actually crack a nut, and an entire ballet was created around this non nut-cracking figure. We have an entire category dedicated to nutcracker ornaments.
