Sock Monkey Ornament

3 reviews

MSRP: $17.99

The Story Behind

No one knows who made the first Sock Monkey, but for over 100 years children have loved them. Since 1920, Nelson Knitting Mills has included a set of instructions with each pair of its Red Heel socks. This ornament recalls the simple childhood pleasure of a soft, cuddly toy.

Measurements: 5 X 1.25 X 1 (HxLxW)

Each glass ornament is mouth-blown into finely carved molds

A solution of hot liquid silver is added for exceptional color and vibrance

Ornaments are then hand-painted and hand-glittered for a fine finish

The history of the nutcracker is a beautiful story of human creativity from function to creativity. Keep your ornaments safe this Christmas off-season with smart storage. Focus on creating individual space for each ornament, and store them in smaller storage boxes. Overall, we think our signature Old World Christmas boxes are the best way to store our gorgeous ornaments.
