New Release Alert: Old World Christmas Advent Calendars

It’s no secret that Christmas is our favorite holiday. Though Old World Christmas celebrates every holiday with many types of Christmas ornaments, Christmas itself is by far our most anticipated holiday. We’re too embarrassed to reveal when our Christmas countdown begins (it might start a few days after New Year’s), but our excitement begins to intensify when the air is consistently cool, the trees are bare, and there’s a forecast for snow.

We’re not the only ones who love counting down to Christmas. Shortly after Thanksgiving the official countdown begins, and parents everywhere are scrambling to shore up the countdown-to-Christmas plans for their kids, and possibly themselves. There are the ever-popular naughty elves thrilling the kids, and confounding parents everywhere coming up with new creative ideas late at night. With the threat of Santa knowing, these elves promise to keep an eye on the kids to make sure they deserve to be on the nice list. There are also the less creative, but way more simple advent calendars. They can be filled with candy and trinkets, or pre-filled with a theme. They’ve even thought of the adults, providing beer, wine, whiskey, skincare and tea-filled advent calendars.

But because we’re completely biased and obsessed with Christmas, we are thrilled to announce the best advent calendar money can buy: ours. It releases in plenty of time before the official countdown begins, and whether you’ve been a long-time loyal fan of our glass-blown ornaments, or you’re just beginning to see what the hype is about, this advent calendar is going to be a quick fan favorite. The sturdy, stand-alone box covered in the cutest Christmas characters has 24 separate panels opening to reveal a mini-sized ornament each day. Because we know little hands and big excitement might not mix well with our signature, delicate glass ornaments we circumvented any problems by making the advent calendar's mini ornaments out of a flexible, kid-friendly material. Starting the day with a shattered ornament isn’t our idea of a good morning. Because all of the ornaments we create are our favorites, it was really hard to choose only 24 ornaments to fill our advent calendar, but we selected wisely and choose fan favorites and a few of our personal favorites.

We love the pickle and the bowl of mac-and-cheese, and we think all kids will love the winter-themed ornaments, smiling Christmas characters, and sweet-treat ornaments hiding in their advent calendars. Even without kids of your own, our advent calendar packs and ships easily, and makes a great gift. We envision a mini table-top tree as the perfect destination for each one of these daily surprises. Filling a tree “all by themselves” gives any kid a proud feeling of satisfaction as they count down to an exciting day. But, these ornaments don’t only belong on a mini tree, they blend perfectly with all ornaments, and will be a fabulous added detail to the family Christmas tree.

However you decide to countdown to Christmas in 2022, make sure our brand-new advent calendar is at the top of your list for every kid in your life.

I decided to give these ornaments to family members according to their interests. It’s been fun and expensive. Hope they enjoy—like personalized gifts. I’ll collect mine later as I am in an assisted living community and elderly. Thanks!

Maybe next year make an Advent calendar for adults?
