Summer: Christmas for Gardeners

It’s mid-July, and though we’ve been counting down to Christmas for a while now, we realize that not everyone has the same anticipation. We’re ok with that, because our Christmas ornaments are so versatile, so diverse, that they aren’t locked into one holiday. Our Christmas ornaments are perfect all year long. Christmas is a ways off (according to our countdown), and you’re probably knee deep (waist deep?) in tomato plants, rose bushes and rambling pumpkin vines. We love a good garden, and believe the spirit of Christmas is alive in our popular gardening ornaments. Even if you’re not a gardener, these ornaments bring the fullness and ripeness of summer to the winter Christmas tree.

Garden Tools

The correct tools are the foundation of garden success. We have all the tools you or your favorite gardener uses, starting with the basics: a handy pair of gloves and a trowel. Clippers prune and remove unruly greenery, and the watering can water thirsty plants. If you garden in the northern regions, or need a more tropical environment for certain flowers and veggies, a greenhouse might be your best bet to start and nurture them in a controlled environment. Our greenhouse is a beautifully detailed and extremely popular ornament with our gardening fans. To tame the unruly and fast-growing grass, every gardener needs a lawn mower, and we have two!

Garden Visitors

Beautiful gardens attract beautiful visitors, and we have an ornament for each one. Butterflies are a welcome sight as they delicately flutter through the garden. The hard workers in the garden are the bees, and besides the flowers they pollinate, we have a hive ornament in which they can land. Another helpful garden worker is the ladybug. They eat the pesky aphids off the roses, and add a little friendly color to the scene. Humming birds sightings are a special part of the garden, and not only are they attracted by the flowers, they can grab a quick snack at the humming bird feeder. A bird house adds decoration and function for the birds who frequent green spaces. And though he might not have a beating heart, the garden gnome ornament contributes a smile and cute humor to the garden.

Garden Harvest

And of course, the reason we put in the sweaty, back-breaking hours of work hauling and mixing soil, planting and nurturing seeds, and keeping the pests away is for the bounty. A garden that produces fruits, veggies, flowers or a place to sit, rest and be admired is always worth the hard work. If it’s the flowers you’re after we love clematis, magnolia, sunflowers, roses (both yellow and red!), as well as the tropical Christmas poinsettia. These outdoor ornaments will remind you of the fullness of summer during the bleakness of winter. We have fruit and veggie ornaments for the veggie gardener too! Don’t miss the strawberry, tomato, corn, garlic, cauliflower ornaments as well as many more fruit ornaments and vegetable ornaments. The bounty overflows!

Capture the beauty and harvest of the summer months by collecting a few of our garden-themed ornaments. These beautiful, glass-blown ornaments will be a reminder in the cold winter months of summer gardening memories. Whether it’s gardening tools, visitors or the harvest, we have a garden ornament to suit your needs.
