Washington Ornaments

The University of Washington was founded in 1861 and is located in the University District of Seattle. Originally the Sun Dodgers, an abstract reference to the local weather, in 1922 the students selected the Husky as the new mascot.  UW is a member of the Pac-12 conference. Home games are played at the rebuilt Husky Stadium which boasts its own underground light rail station. The Apple Cup game is against cross-state rivals WSU, the game was first played in 1900 and continues today.
