Egyptian Cat Ornament
The Story BehindIn ancient Egypt, domestic cats were sacred animals to the cat goddesses as they were revered for their powers of protection. This hand-painted glass ornament is adorned with jeweled tones to embody the beauty and highness of a cat goddess.
Each glass ornament is mouth-blown into finely carved molds
A solution of hot liquid silver is added for exceptional color and vibrance
Ornaments are then hand-painted and hand-glittered for a fine finish
Is going to make an awesome birthday gift as she has the Bast statue. I've been trying to get a lying down Anubis ornament to match her other statue, but no one has it. LOVE Olde World ornaments. They are beautiful and unique.
Dreaming of Traveling
Although we couldn't travel this year, a piece of our travels were shared at Christmas with this Egyptian Cat. Stealth, Sleek and beautifully crafted, it was such treasure to have this ornament for our tree. Very pretty!
